This has just made my day. That is hilarious. If the rest of the posts are anywhere close to as funny as this one, then this is going to be a great site.

  3. Scott Clark says:

Old, I know, but one of my favorites of all time. Good luck with the new blog.

    Rofl, got to love this.
The more I look at it and read, the happier and oblivious that little spider looks XD

Damn time travelers think they can do whatever they please.

  10. Emma P says:

Omg this has got to be one of the funniest things ever! For some reason, the look on the 7-legged spider’s face makes me lol. I’m totally keeping tabs on this site! I’ve read this and the lawn chairs one (”from a condemed Soviet school yard” lmao!) and if the rest of the site keeps going like this, it’s going to become one of my favorites.

  11. Alex says:

Either Jane Gilles is a robot or has surgically removed her capability to recognize humor.

    David Thorne, you rock!

  20. Mikuso says:

“It was silly of me to assume I could provide you with something of completely no value whatsoever, waste your time and then attach such a large amount to it.”

It’s sarcasm. He was making a point about the service they provided to him was a waste of time with an over-inflated value.

  31. BigBlueFrog says:

This was great. I’d never seen it before, and I got a good chuckle out of it. I work for a local newspaper, and some of the sales associate and customer emails and email conversations are beyond belief. I’ll be on the lookout for anything that might be suitable for your site.

In the meantime, if you go to my blog and do a keyword search for “bigger boobs” you’ll find a post entitled “Bigger Boobs, Please?” that relates the story of an ad request I received from one of our reps. Not quite what you’re asking for, but I think you might appreciate it anyway.

    Tim

  32. Peter says:

Oh my god… I laughed so hard tears were streaming down my face. I had to leave the office for 10 minutes because my uncontrollable laughter was disrupting my co-workers.

  41. lewis says:

    i just pissed myself! i rofl’ed.

this is the epitome of epic.

  42. John from Toronto, ON says:

David, You may think this is funny and it truly is, but the REAL discovery here isn’t how stupid the creditor was by engaging in constant emails, but the fact that you have just identified yourself as a tremendously talented creative writer. I don’t know what you do for a living, but consider writing and/or stand up comedy as either an additional source of income or a career change.
You are truly gifted and I wish you every success.

  43. Mr. Robbins says:

This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever encountered. It is clear that the original spider drawing was only worth $197.37. Trying to pass it off as worth more borders on fraud, if you ask me. Over inflation of the value of art is why our global economy is in the sad state it is in, if you ask me.

  44. Kitty says:

This is crazy funny, lol. Did anyone try to go to the link under the last entry? You get a message telling you that it’s none of your business.

  45. Megen says:

She should have just sent him to a collection agency. I wouldn’t even have responded.

best bit is when he asks for it back xD

  59. Ryno66 says:

Naw, what’s even better is that she actually sends it back! That just cracks me up! :D

  60. awesomepossum says:

Personally I think David’s “jokes” are getting rather tired. One can only pull immature pranks for so long before one’s sanity and actual sense of humour are questioned. Sophomoric is a complimentary term for his “comedy” IMHO… at least, it’s complimentary compared to other adjectives I had in mind.

This will probably garner flames but I felt the need to point out the tedium and monotony in David’s correspondance with people. As an ECE student teacher I come in contact with immaturity such as this on a daily basis; apparently time-outs can only work for so long, and I assume his parents are well nigh sick of hearing of his poor behaviour, lol. I can only commend the people he contacts on their professionalism and patience. Well done, Ms. Gilles.

  61. ha ha ha ha reminds me of the time we had to pay £200 to a wheel clamper in London to get our van released .. so we glued the £50 notes to his lorry..lol

  62. fish! says:

    My new hero. XD
