    Hello friends,

I’ve noticed a trend here on “Emails From…” that I’d like to share. Originally, all the emails were actually crazy from crazy people. Many still are, but there seems to be an increasing about of emails on this site that are not crazy but just random. Some of the emails posted lately are not crazy, but just simply something that someone finds weird. I propose stricter quality control so that all the emails posted are truly from insane people. And yes, I hope that this message will not get posted!

    Thanks,

    Jimmy

  2. I EAT BRAINZ says:

I liked the old blog design better. =(

  3. Kitty says:

I liked the old layout better to.

Honestly, I’d like to see a strict “no craigslist ads” policy. If people want to see stupid/funny/outragous craigslist ads, they can go there. There’s a special corner of craigslist just for that sort of thing. That being said, I think the recent “tortoise” fiasco was apropriate because it was a list of e-mails CONCERNING a craigslist item.

I shall step off my little soapbox now, and leave the intertubes for the night lest they become full :)

  4. thao says:

hate the new design of the site. it’s really hard to read.

  5. Yeah, Ok. says:

I like the new design. Looks good, clean, sleek. *thumbs up*

  6. Sarah says:

Love the new layout. No longer looks like some cheap template on Powerpoint from 1999.

  7. Sue says:

I love, love, love the new layout. Much easier to read and words don’t get cut off. Keep up the good crazy!

  8. Tim says:

Don’t really care for the new layout. It would be interesting to see emails from crazy politicians. Both sides of the moronic spectrum churn out some really nice gems. I would say you could dedicate a whole site to Fox News but I think there’s one already in existance… mediamatters.org

  9. Roddy says:

Have to admit, I preferred the old layout as well. Seemed less cluttered. That being said, what happened to all the funny emails? Everything that’s left is just, well, stupid. Stupid is not crazy, it’s just stupid.

  10. Gary says:

Another thumbs up for the layout. Keep it crazy!

  11. galad says:

I like the new layout, the old one was too hard to read. I don’t like the way comments are no longer nested. Lately I have noticed that emails are going on the front page that have never been on the voting page. Either stick to putting them ont he vote page or just do away with the initial voting altogether if you are going to value our opinions.

    Thanks

  12. Lynda says:

Could you please change the format to include page numbers? I am enjoying reading all of these, but each night I have to start from the beginning and go through all the posts I have already read. If there were page numbers I could go straight to where I stopped the night before. Just a suggestion.

    Thanks.

  13. Charlie says:

I suggest that there be page numbers so I can find the email where the guy masturbates with swiss cheese around his penis. I read it every night and occasionally when my daughters come home from school with a good mark on an exam or report card I will let them read it. It is just a pain when I get home and have to go through some pages to get to it.

    Thanks.

    • WhiteCoat says:

we are working on it! :)

you might want to check out the handy-dandy search box on the top right of the page – a search for the word cheese will provide you and your family more of that special kind of crazy you have grown to know and love.

  14. Sneaksleep says:

What ever happened to Friday Fight? Maybe some people thought those posts were lame, but I enjoyed them. Haven’t seen one since the pet food war.

  15. Natty says:

Hey! I’m new to the site and I saw that a few days ago you mentioned Modesto. Yay! No wonder this site is so great. Living in Modesto definitely refines one’s ability to spot crazy. I wonder if that old dude who roller skates in the teeny tiny shorts is still around. Sigh. Nostalgia.

  16. UGH says:

So what’s up with posts awaiting moderation? Are there some standards here? The last three of mine have been tied up awaiting moderation, and all I can figure is that I wrote out the word “Fuck” in all three. Is this an automatic flag or something? Is it is, why?

Just wondering why some get flagged and others don’t.

  17. UGH says:

What has been up with this site lately? More times than not over the last week, my browser(s) have timed out connecting and, in several instances, I would try to submit a comment and the connection would then crash (this is my second attempt to post this comment). Anyone else been having issues?

  18. tp1212 says:

@UGH, Ive been having issue’s connecting to most overseas sites lately. (That would be… 95% of the sites I visit >.<)
Using a proxy site seems to work.

  19. Melody says:

I actually have a section on my website kind of like this!
I really enjoyed looking around on your site. My site has a section that are form people I get emails from at work trying to get access to their porn, haha.
    check it out!

  20. SullyKay says:

Just thought to say that this is a sweet site, never fails to amuse. Good job :)

  21. Karma says:

I gotta say I love this site. I follow it on twitter so I’ll get my hands on new stuff asap, but I can’t help but manually check in now and than on top of that.

If it’s not the emails themselves that are crazy fun, the comment threads will do the job instead (or just add to the effect like a catalyst)! I mean, come on! The site is genius.

Hats off, thumbs up, hands down, behind your back, down on the ground, “what did I do sir?!”, get in the car, watch your head, keep up the good work!

  22. Badger says:

Well, I really enjoyed this site quite a bit, but unfortunately I am going to have to stop visiting on moral grounds. Their decision to run ads opposing marriage in NJ is quite offensive to me, and I will no longer contribute to their high traffic count knowing what kind of people they will let pay for advertisement here. My advice: stick to non political advertisements as not to alienate some of your site viewers. Thanks for the entertaining run, but I will not be coming back.

  23. Alicia says:

As someone with a mental illness – I saw this website and it really saddened me to see that the conditions others battle with have become passive amusement for others. Mental illness is not funny and it is sheer hell for those of us to have to live with it. Finding this website was one of the worst ’stumbles’ I have come across.

If you have a heart at all – end this site. We deal with social stigmas everyday and this only adds to the pain we experience.

    • Jimmy says:

I don’t think this website is meant to demean anyone with a mental illness, rather, I believe it serves to show what happens when people decide to email ridiculous and nonsensical things. Having a mental illness does not equal being “crazy.” Frankly, I think this site does a very good job in making that distinction clear. I’m sorry if you feel that calling weird Craigslist ads “crazy” is offensive. I would be shocked if the makers of the site intended to offend you or anyone with a mental illness.

    You have a troll.
